2) Come as a guest! Most of our events allow members to bring guests. There is a guest fee and the cost depends on the event. The minimum guest fee is $5 per person. You must be registered as a guest and come with a current member.
2) Attend a new member open house! Twice a year, the club has a new member open house and welcomes Sun City RCSC cardholder to come and experience the NextGen Club. Our new member open houses are typically in the fall and in the winter.
Scroll down to see the types of activities and events our club offers. If you have any questions, please email us at newmembers@nextgensc.org.
All members, guests and visitors must be registered before attending an activity or event.
Please note, as are all the clubs in Sun City, the NextGen Club is run by volunteers. Everything from our administration, website, greeters, set up and clean up to our activities and events are all run by on a volunteer basis. As a member you will be required to volunteer a minimum of four hours per year.
Putting the Fun In Sun CityNextGen is an active social club with over 500 active members. It is open to all RCSC cardholders. The club is designed to bring people together and foster new friendships and social connections. In addition to monthly meetings, there are a variety of recurring events such as wine tasting, hiking, golf scrambles, and "Out and About" at local establishments to name a few. NextGen also offers Special events such as holiday parties and multiple day events to area interests. Scroll down to view some of our popular events. (After joining the club, you will have access to a full calendar of our events) |
There is a social gathering or an event for members and their registered guests that is typically held on the 1st and 3rd Monday evening at Sundial Recreational Centers, in the East and West Auditorium. Once you become a member, you'll have access to our complete event/activity calendar.
Social gatherings may include a potluck, card games, trivia, music, or guest speakers. All meetings provide the opportunity to socialize and meet other members. Bring your own beverage; cups and ice are provided.
The hosts pick a wine theme; participants bring their favorite wine and a light appetizer to share.
This fun event is a great opportunity to meet other members in a relaxed environment even if you do not drink wine.
Hikes are offered throughout the year at various local sites. Day hikes as well as moonlight hikes are conducted. Past hikes have been at White Tanks, Westwing Park Peoria, Cave Creek Regional Park, Buckeye Skyline Regional Park, Lookout Mountain, and Black Canyon Trial.
After the hike, participants may meet for a beverage at the park or lunch at a local restaurant.
If you like to golf and have fun at the same time, scrambles are for you! Team up with other NextGen members for a friendly competition to see which foursome has the lowest score. After golfing, the fun continues at the potluck hosted by a NextGen member. Other golf events may include TopGolf, or Golf tournaments.
